The Workforce Development Expo (Expo) invites hundreds of students to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Dulles International Airport to introduce them to a diverse range of career opportunities within the aviation industry, helping to inspire and guide the next generation of talent.

The goal of the Expo is to:

• Provide students with detailed insights into various career paths available within the aviation industry.​
• Facilitate access to potential employers, allowing students to discover and learn about the diverse career paths available within the airport environment.
• Present information on available internships, part-time jobs, and entry-level positions, enabling students to gain practical experience.​

The Airports Authority’s Firefighter Exploration Program gives high school students a unique opportunity to learn about the skills, training, and responsibilities of aviation firefighting. Students gain insight into the role firefighters play in maintaining airport safety.
