Hi! You’re probably here because we requested additional rights to share your photo across our channels. We love to see the travel journey through the eyes of our passengers at our airports (Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport) and what that experience looks like so other travelers know what to expect. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure — we want to see how you are traveling safely!

 

We regularly reach out to customers to request additional rights to reuse our favorite images in our social, online advertising, website, and more. When necessary, we include your handle or byline.

 

Thank you for considering this request! It is entirely your choice whether to share or not, but we think people will love your photo. By responding to our request with the hashtag #ShareMyDCA or #ShareMyIAD, you are agreeing to the following:

 

User Content

 

As between you and us, you own all content and information you post, share or tag showing Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport, such as posting or sharing comments, photos, and videos (referred to as “User Content”).

 

You give Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority permission to use your User Content as follows: you grant to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and its affiliates an unrestricted license to use, reproduce, display, perform, distribute, publish, create derivative works from, make compilations from, license, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and its affiliates for marketing purposes, without attribution, including without limitation in Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority online and out of home advertising, email and other customer communications, signage materials and other marketing. You hereby release, acquit and discharge Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and assigs from any and all claims and liability, known and unknown, including any and all damages or other remedies, incidental and consequential from third-party action, relating to or arising from said User Content.

 

We may display advertisements in connection with your User Content or on pages where your User Content may be viewed by you or others, and we may use your User Content to advertise and promote Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport. Our license to your User Content is non-exclusive, meaning you may use the User Content for your own purposes or let others use your User Content for their purposes. Our license to your User Content is fully-paid and royalty free, meaning we do not owe you anything else in connection with our use of your User Content. Finally, our license is perpetual, meaning that our license lasts for an indefinite period of time.

 

You promise that:

 

• You own all rights to your User Content or, alternatively, that you have the right to give Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority the rights described above;

• you have paid and will pay in full any fees or other payments that may be related to the use of your User Content; and

• your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal rights of any third party.

 

We may refuse to accept or transmit User Content for any reason. We may remove User Content from the marketing campaign for any reason.

 

Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

 

If you believe that a user has infringed on your intellectual property rights, or if we have taken down your materials due to suspicion of copyright infringement, and you would like to dispute the alleged infringement, please EMAIL us at [email protected].

 

 

Privacy Notice

 

When your User Content is displayed as detailed above, your social media handle or name may be displayed and your image will be displayed, unless you specifically state for us to not include your handle or name. Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority collects and processes this information as necessary for the performance of this contract between us. We work with a service provider to help us review, gather, and display your User Content.
