Sheridan_PaulPaul F. Sheridan Jr. is a corporate lawyer and a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins LLP, representing companies and private equity firms. He serves as the law firm’s global chair of private capital, which includes the firm’s private equity, direct lending, restructuring, real estate, energy, infrastructure, fund formation and structured credit practices, having previously served multiple terms on the firm’s executive committee. Before joining the law firm, Mr. Sheridan served as a law clerk to Judge James C. Cacheris, Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. 

Mr. Sheridan serves as a trustee at the Potomac School in McLean, VA, and as pro bono counsel to the Center for a New American Security, a bipartisan national security think tank. He is a member of The Economic Club of Washington, and a past member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO). 

Mr. Sheridan graduated from Harvard College and received a law degree from the University of Virginia. 

Mr. Sheridan is an appointee of the Governor of Virigina.
