Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board Chairman Charles D. Snelling, has announced the appointment of Andrew Rountree to the position of Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Mr. Rountree has served as Acting Chief Financial Officer since May of this year.

Washington’s airports will be rockin’ and rollin’ this holiday season at our 4th annual tree-trimming celebration. Students from the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland are decorating Reagan National and Dulles International with ornaments they created to go along with our theme “North Pole Rock and Roll.” The trees will be on display for our passengers to enjoy throughout the month of December. These events are part of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority’s School Partnership Program.

New parking spaces, a new underground airport train system, new airlines and new security procedures are in place at Washington’s airports since last year’s Thanksgiving holiday. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority offers these tips to help our passengers prepare for some of the busiest travel days of the year.

The Dulles Corridor Advisory Committee is an eight member committee that advises the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority on issues related to the management, improvement and expansion of the Dulles Corridor, as well as future changes to toll rates on the Dulles Toll Road to fund roadway improvements and the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project.
