The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority issued the following statement in support of completing the Bi-County Parkway Environmental Impact Statement in order to further the information gathering process.

“Transportation initiatives that increase mobility and economic development are good for the region and are also good for our region’s airports.  The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority continues to support efforts toward strategic, collaborative processes that include all stakeholders in order to advance better north-south transportation links between I-95, I-66 and the Dulles Corridor for this rapidly growing region.  Completing the Environmental Impact Statement process for the proposed Bi-County Parkway is one of the vital steps that helps ensure all relevant information is fully available to state and local policymakers, who are seeking to increase transportation choices and ease traffic congestion.”
