PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Va. Code 5.1-157 and D.C. Code 9-906, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (“Airports Authority”) will conduct a public hearing on January 5, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. on the following proposed amendments to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Regulations (“Regulations”): 

Section 7.5, Permits, and Section 7.6, Terminal Areas Available for Demonstrations or Distribution, to direct that permit applications for demonstrations and distribution of literature will be available on the Airports Authority’s website and to grant the Airport Managers discretion to identify those areas of the airports that are appropriate for demonstrations or distribution of literature and to publish such information on the website; 

Section 9.11, Criminal History Records Check of Applicants for Authority Employment, to specify that Section 9.11 applies only to applicants for positions in the Office of Public Safety; and

Section 10.2, Penalty, to include references to Va. Code 46.2-819, 46.2-819.3, 46.2-819.3:1, to allow the Airports Authority to continue to rely on the enforcement processes for toll collection provided under Virginia law no matter the method of tolling in use on the Dulles Toll Road given the anticipated conversion to all-electronic tolling.
