Washington Dulles International Airport will host a series of musical and dance performances in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. Passengers traveling through the airport will be treated to the diversity of Hispanic culture through appearances by DC Casineros, which performs popular folkloric Cuban dances that include Rueda de Casino, Casino and Conga. Two traditional Colombian musical groups, Verny Varela and Confonica, will play Salsa, Cha Cha and Cumbia.
“The celebration of culture and diversity is a hallmark of our growing international airport,” said Christopher U. Browne, Dulles International Airport manager. “As the airport welcomes new carriers and additional destinations from around the world, we also want to bring a piece of the world to the airport, with performances like these.”
