The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which operates Washington Dulles International and Reagan Washington National Airports will co-sponsor a Small Business Outreach Seminar on Wednesday, June 14, 2000 from 9:00 am to noon at the Hyatt Crystal City. Local entrepreneurs and small business owners are invited to learn about the retail and food & beverage concession opportunities that exist at both airports and procedures for opening an airport retail business. Representatives from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, HMS Host and Westfield Concession Management, Inc. will present this information and meet with interested participants during the event.

Local and minority businesses have a strong participation in the Airports Authority’s concession program, and the Airports Authority is working to bring in more local participation. This Outreach Seminar is one of several programs developed to ensure that local business operators and entrepreneurs have the information and access they wish to participate in the opportunities that exist at Washington Dulles and Reagan National.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is cosponsoring this seminar with Westfield Concession Management, Inc., a division of Westfield Inc., which oversees the development, marketing, leasing and management of retail concessions at National and Dulles Airports, and with HMS Host Corporation, which oversees similar activities for food and beverage concessions at the airports.
