Black History Month performances each Thursday in February scheduled for Reagan National, Dulles International airports
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) will host its annual Black History Month celebration of achievements and contributions to American history by African Americans with musical performances for passengers traveling through both airports each Thursday during the month of February. In addition, Dulles International Airport will celebrate Chinese New Year with a special lion dance performance on Jan. 23, 2020, at 10 a.m.
Performances at Dulles International will take place on the ticketing level, pre-security near the entrance to the East Security Checkpoint. Performances at Reagan National will take place in Terminal B/C in National Hall, across from Il Viaggio restaurant near the Terminal B information desk.
The performance schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Jan. 23: Chinese New Year Lion Dance at IAD
- 10:30-11:30 a.m. (20-minute performances with a 15-minute break)
Thursday, Feb. 6: Light jazz saxophonist Merlon Devine
- IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
- DCA: 2-4 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 13: Gospel Singer Ricardo White
- IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
- DCA: 2-4 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 20: Gospel Singer Ricardo White
- IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
- DCA: 2-4 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 27: Light jazz saxophonist Merlon Devine
- IAD: 10 a.m. to noon
- DCA: 2-4 p.m.
