The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors has elected Mame Reiley, Chairman of the Board, the Honorable H.R. Crawford Vice Chairman and re-elected Gregory Wolfe Secretary of the Airports Authority.
Ms. Reiley, who follows outgoing Board Chairman Norman M. Glasgow, Jr., was appointed to the Board in 2002 by Governor Mark R.Warner, and served this year as Vice Chair of the Board. Ms. Reiley is the Political Director of One Virginia, Governor Warner's political action committee. Previously she served as Vice President and General Manager of PGI Washington, an events and communications agency, as Chief of Staff to Representative Jim Moran (D-VA) and as a staff member of the House Committee on Appropriations.
Mayor Anthony Williams appointed Mr. Crawford to the Board in 2002.
He is currently the Chairman of the Board's Business Administration Committee. Mr. Crawford is the President of Crawford Edgewood Managers, Inc. a real estate firm that develops and manages residential properties throughout the District of Columbia. He served as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1973-1976 and was a member of the Greater Washington Council of Governments for three terms, serving as both President and Chairman. He represented Ward 7 in the District as a member of the Council of the District of Columbia from 1980-1992.
Mr. Wolfe has served as Secretary of the Airports Authority since 1987.
A 13-person Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the Governors of Virginia and Maryland, The Mayor of the District of Columbia and the President of the United States governs the Airports Authority.
