Prequalification with Turner Construction to Bid on Construction of Package 3 – New North Concourse – Building
Package 3 is the final construction work package for the construction of the New North Concourse, which is part of the Terminal B/C Redevelopment Program at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The 227,000 square foot facility includes new passenger boarding bridges, moving walkways, elevators, thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing, over 100,000 square feet of glazing, 50,000 square feet of Terrazzo, 50,000 square feet of metal wall panels, baggage conveying equipment and etc.
Turner will be issuing the solicitation to prequalified firms in early November 2017 and a prebid meeting is tentatively scheduled for November 16, 2017 from 2pm to 5pm in the Historic Lobby, of Terminal A at Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Turner Construction Company was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Terminal B/C Long-Term Redevelopment Program at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The program includes approximately $500,000,000 in new construction as well as renovation of existing facilities and is seven years in duration.
All firms are invited to participate and there are many opportunities to do subcontracting work for Turner Construction on the DCA program, however, firms must be a prequalified subcontractor in order to subcontract directly with Turner.
To become prequalified, firms must create a user account and then will be provided with a user name and password for logging into the Turner network and completing/submitting a Subcontractor/Vendor Prequalification Statement. Turner’s contract requires them to achieve at least 25% Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE) participation. Businesses must be certified by MWAA as an LDBE to be counted toward this requirement. CLICK HERE for more information on LDBE certification.
