Background
The Airports Authority recognizes there have been significant advances in the way technology has interfaced with the airport operational environment over the last decade. In this digital age, the ability to access, track, aggregate, and distribute data is a key differentiator in an organization’s ability to facilitate efficient operations and maintain smart management practices.

Request for Information
The Airports Authority invites interested parties to respond to this RFI regarding Airport Advanced Utility Metering Infrastructure Solutions for Dulles International Airport. The intention of this RFI is to query the market to better understand company capabilities and track record in the Utility Metering Solutions market. All ideas and information shared by respondents are welcome. The Authority expects to utilize LoRa WAN for network communication to facilitate long-range, low-power wireless connectivity across our facilities. The network will be configured to allow the Airports Authority to add various other IoT devices in the future, beyond the initial metering solution. This ensures that the network remains open and flexible for future expansion and innovation.
