Overview

Complete electronic documents for most Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority solicitations are available for download from the Airports Authority website free of charge. The primary exception are larger construction projects where the drawings and specifications are issued on CD-ROM.

The Airports Authority does not typically issue paper copies of solicitation documents. Contractors requiring a printed copy are encouraged to utilize their own printing equipment or a document reproduction company to print the electronic documents. Unless otherwise indicated on an individual project's webpage, the Airports Authority will only issue printed documents to contractors upon special request, and only for a fee.

Documents on CD-ROM

When complete documents are not available for download from the Airports Authority website, documents are issued on CD-ROM. Unless otherwise indicated on individual project pages, the charge is $50.00 per CD-ROM requested. All fees are non-refundable and must be paid by either check or money order made payable to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority or MWAA.

All CD-ROMs include a Security Notice or Confidentiality Agreement which govern their use and distribution. A copy of the applicable notice will be provided on the individual project page. Contractors must print and sign a copy of the document and return it with their CD-ROM order.

CD-ROMs can be picked up in person at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority's Plans Room, located in Suite 154 of the MWAA Corporate Office Building at National Airport. The Plans Room's hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Contractors are encouraged to call 703-417-8672 in advance to confirm availability.

Contractors may also order CD-ROMs by sending a written request providing project name and number, company name, contact person name, complete mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, check or money order (to cover CD-ROM fees), and a FedEx account number (to cover shipping expenses) to the following address:

CD-ROMs are usually shipped within one business day of receipt of check.

Note: The Airports Authority is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected packages.
